Something happened in the Blue Jays’ win over the Yankees on Tuesday night that’s only happened three other times in baseball history.

Two catchers—Toronto’s Russell Martin and New York’s Gary Sanchez—homered twice in the game, marking the fourth time that two backstops had gone deep twice in the same game.

YES Network researcher James Smyth dug up the stat, and the other catchers to do it. It last happened in 2009, with Miguel Montero and Bengie Molina.

Gary Sanchez, a 23-year-old rookie, brought his season total to four in just his 12th game. Martin, a 33-year-old veteran, has now hit five homers in August.

The Yankees led 6–0 before the game was delayed due to rain in the fifth. Toronto then scored 12 unanswered runs to take it, 12–6.
