Fernando Tatis Jr. Mashes Three Homers in Monstrous Performance in Triple A Game

Fernando Tatís Jr. is on a tear as he gets ready to make his return to the Padres lineup.

On Thursday night, the San Diego star hit three home runs and drove in eight runs in the Triple A El Paso Chihuahuas’ 19–6 drubbing of the Albuquerque Isotopes. Tatís, who finished a triple shy of the cycle, has been lethal at the dish, recording at least one hit in six of his seven games and posting a .478 batting average.

The superstar talent is on a rehab assignment as he fully recovers from shoulder and wrist surgeries. Tatís, who has not played in the majors since 2021, is expected to make his return from his 80-game suspension for PEDs next Thursday.

Upon his return to the Padres, Tatís will now play in the outfield after the club opted to sign former four-time All-Star Xander Bogaerts away from Boston in the offseason. In three seasons in the majors, Tatís has hit 81 home runs and with 195 RBIs in just 273 games.

The baseball world eagerly awaits the return of the 2021 National League home run champion and silver slugger, who appears to be in peak form as he’s set to come back to the big leagues.
