Vladimir Guerrero's (Other) Son Signs First Pro Contract

In this story:
The New York Mets signed a familiar name to a minor league contract on Monday, Jan. 15.
Vladimir Miguel Guerrero, the 16-year-old son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero and half-brother of Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero, was given a $117,000 signing bonus, plus a $60,000 scholarship bonus.
Vladi Miguel differs from his father and brother by hitting from the left side. Defensively, the Mets want him to be a long-term first base and/or left-field option.
“Obviously, I’m really proud of him," Guerrero Sr. said through an interpreter. "That’s my third one already to sign. Honestly, I just feel really happy for him. Not just that it’s a contract because he’s my son, but just for him as an individual. I feel really happy for him that he was able to do that.”

The teenager became the third son of Guerrero to sign with a Major League organization. His other half-brother, Pablo, signed with the Texas Rangers exactly one year before him.
