Angels News: Halos Put Up Offensive Explosion in Colorado

In this story:
Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, is known for producing many runs for both the home and away teams. However, Saturday, June 25th, 2023, will go down in history for your Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels beat... actually beat is an understatement; the Halos demolished, destroyed, and wished the Rockies never showed up to the ballpark with a 25, yes, 25-1 victory on the road.
The 25 runs on 28 hits are both franchise records for the Halos.
What a night! 😇

It all started for the Angels in the second inning scoring two runs in the second inning courtesy of David Flecther's single that scored Eduardo Escobar and Mickey Moniak. However, the firework spectacular started in the third inning as they scored 13 runs that began with back-to-back-to-back jacks in three pitches.
Mike Trout, Brandon Drury and Matt Thaiss hit back-to-back-to-back HR on 3 straight pitches vs Rockies starter Chase Anderson.

The last time a team hit 3 HR on 3 straight pitches was the Yankees on Sept. 17, 2020 vs the Blue Jays (Gardner, LeMahieu, Voit)...also against Chase… pic.twitter.com/Ks95C5WGdJ
It was extraordinary to witness as the Halos put up a historic night. They weren't done after those homers, though, as Taylor Ward, Shohei Ohtani, Hunter Renfroe, Eduardo Escobar, and Mickey Moniak chipped in and were responsible for another 10 runs. That was all in the third inning.
In the fourth, they added another eight runs, with Moniak leading the charge with a double in the fourth and having a perfect 5-for-5 game.
He's a Moniak...and he's hitting like he's never hit before! pic.twitter.com/hdGhH8xdBJ

The Angels got greedy in the sixth and eighth inning, scoring one run in each. The Halos made history, Twitter went crazy, and most importantly, the Angels got the win after having trouble creating offense earlier this week.
That one was fun. We'll see how they fare tomorrow in the series finale.
