Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Pitching Preview, How To Watch
The Houston Astros have lost their first two games of the season as the enter Saturday’s contest with the New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park.
It’s the third game of a four-game series to open the season for both teams.
The Astros (0-2) fell to the Yankees, 7-1, on Friday. Wrapped up in the loss was Houston’s inability to score runs. The Astros had just seven hits and Alex Bregman drove in Houston’s only run. The Yankees (2-0) took the Astros’ bullpen for a ride for the second straight game.
Astros starter Cristian Javier threw six spotless innings, giving up four hits and striking out six with just one walk. After that, the bullpen could not keep the Yankees off the scoreboard.
It leaves new manager Joe Espada looking for his first MLB win.
