The Philadelphia Phillies have to feel good about their chances in this one. Back in the friendly confines of Citizens Bank Park, one of the loudest and rowdiest playoff atmospheres in MLB, with the pitching advantage of Aaron Nola facing off against Atlanta Braves right-hander Bryce Elder.

Let's see if Atlanta's MLB-best offense can come through in the clutch to give Atlanta the series advantage.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves in Game Three of the NLDS versus the Philadelphia Phillies

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Atlanta's running it back against Philly - catcher Travis d'Arnaud, who hit the big homer against Philly in game two, gets a 2nd straight behind the plate and bats 6th.

Phillies RHP Aaron Nola vs the Atlanta Braves

Career: 33 starts, 15-10, 3.40 ERA in 206.2 IP, 203 Ks to 57 BBs

2023: 3 starts (no decisions), 3.50 ERA in 18 IP, 20 Ks to 4 BBs

Nola's three 2023 starts against Atlanta have run the gamut of effectiveness. His first, on May 25th in Truist Park, was not great - five runs in six innings, with his seven strikeouts being outweighed by the two walks, eight hits, and THREE home runs allowed (Austin Riley hit two, Marcell Ozuna hit one). But he rebounded nicely, to give Philly six scoreless innings on June 22nd (opposite Bryce Elder, who gave Atlanta seven scoreless innings in an eventual 5-1 10-inning win by the Braves). And Nola's most recent outing against Atlanta was a quality start on September 20th, going six innings with two runs on six hits, with no walks and eight strikeouts.

Of note, the only real struggle Nola had with Atlanta was the start at home, where he had an ERA of over two runs better (3.29 vs 5.43) than on the road.
