The Chicago Cubs enter their home opener with the Colorado Rockies coming off a victory over the Texas Rangers to end their first series of the season.

The Cubs (1-2) had lost their first two games against the Rangers. Plus, the Cubs lost starting pitcher Justin Steele to a hamstring injury that put him on the injured list and will likely keep him out for close to a month, according to manager Craig Counsell.

But, on Sunday, the Cubs exploded for four runs in the ninth inning to break a 5-5 tie and claim their first victory of the season.

Ian Happ’s great hitting at the top of the lineup continued, as he went 4-for-5 with 2 RBI. Christopher Morel, who also hit well in the series, went 1-for-5 but drove in three runs as he hit his first home run of the season. Seiya Suzuki had two hits and drove in two runs.

The Cubs are set to start their new free agent pitcher Shota Imanaga, in the home opener against the Rockies.

Here is the preview for the game, with probable pitchers, starting lineups, how to watch and listen, injury updates and more.
