Giants Reporter's Laptop Does Not Survive Wild Gatorade Bath

Things got pretty wild in San Francisco.

The amount of wild activities taking place during the Giants' Thursday night victory over the Mets are tough to comprehend.

Daniel Susac got three hits in his Major League Baseball debut and the resulting celebrations really took one young fan for a ride.

Blade Bidwell, who notched the first save of his big league career, was doused with a vile mixed concotion of beer, ketchup and mustard after his big moment.

No corner of Oracle Park was safe from horseplay as the celebratory postgame interview with Susac turned disastrous for sideline reporter Kylen Mills.

The choice to ask the rookie a few questions with an operational laptop within the splash zone of a Gatorade bath did not age well as an aggressive waterfall of liquid made direct impact on her work device.

Oh yeah. That thing is cooked, as Mills reports. You bring that device into a repair store and they start asking a bunch of questions. Thankfully there's video evidence supporting the tale of woe.

Not to get into something that isn't my business but it sure seems like replacing this should not be an out-of-pocket expense. Stuff happens when you're in the splash zone and a good company is going to make sure that they cover that, no questions asked. O.K., maybe one question: did you try putting it in rice?

It's nice to see the Giants have some fun out at the ballpark after their season got off on the wrong foot in a punchless sweet against the Yankees. Now winners of three of four, they'll look to keep the positive energy going in a homestand against the Mets and Phillies.

There are 155 games left for them to play in the regular season, so taking a beat and pacing themselves may be in order. If not, people are going to need a lot more laptops.
