Giants-Reds Series Preview: How to Watch, Starting Pitchers, Injured List

In this story:
So, the San Francisco Giants are not a good baseball team.
This truth has been evident for a long time, and the latest sweep at the hands of the Boston Red Sox only underscored the fact that the Giants desperately need the season to come to its glorious conclusion.
While other squads — perhaps the Los Angeles Dodgers or Milwaukee Brewers or even the San Diego Padres — dance through the streets celebrating their latest triumphs, the Giants will be back at the pier, wondering what in the world just happened.
Maybe that’s a bit too overdramatic a start to a series preview in the middle of August against the Cincinnati Reds, but it’s the feeling many Giants fans possess at this very moment.
Because of how exciting this series could’ve been back in March, with the Giants throwing out ready-made stars like Rafael Devers, Matt Chapman and Logan Webb, pairing that with the thunder and lightning of Chase Burns and Elly De La Cruz, all that’s left is misery and pain. These two teams aren’t going anywhere, making this three-game bout one that will be left for the stars when everything is said and done.
Regardless, it’s baseball, and baseball — even if it’s poor — is still amazing. Here’s how to watch the Giants series against the Reds, including starting pitchers and an updated injury report.
