The Cleveland Guardians have been known for their pitching development for a long time. Some examples of aces that have made their way through Cleveland's system include Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer, Mike Clevinger, Shane Bieber, and Aaron Civale.

The next wave of starting pitching is officially here and they're already making their mark in the league while creating history.

The trio of Gavin Williams, Tanner Bibee, and Logan Allen were Cleveland's starting pitchers in the first three games against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Williams pitched seven scoreless innings while only allowing one hit and struck out 12 in his start. Bibee kept this going pitching seven scoreless innings and striking out six in the second game of the series. Allen finished it off and allowed a single run to George Springer in five innings of work.

Toronto's offense isn't a push over either. They have plenty of proven hitters such as Springer, Valdimir Guerrero Jr., Matt Chapman, and Whitt Merrifield. However, they all had trouble against the rookies.

This is the first time three rookies have allowed just one run over three days since August 1-3, 1916. The starting pitchers in those games were Stan Coveleski, Al Goud, and Jim Bagby.

There hasn't been a ton of positives for this team since the trade deadline. The offense has fallen flat and a return to playoffs becomes increasingly more difficult. But the rotation has once against become a bright spot for the team's future.
