The Indians trip to the Big Apple against the Yankees hasn't gotten off to a very fun start, as the team has dropped the first two games of their three-game set, with the finale this afternoon at 1:10pm.

The Tribe will look to get a win in New York against Yankees pitcher Domingo Green, who is making his first start for the Yankees. He's taking the spot of Jordan Montgomery, who is down for the next two months with an elbow strain.

Mike Clevinger, who has been more up than down in 2018, will get the start for the Indians as they look to stay above .500, right now sitting at 17-16.

Time: 1:10 p.m.

1. Can Clev Slow Down the Yankees?

The Indians pitching staff has had some solid moments over the first two games of the series, shutting down the New York offense and at times looking like the best staff in the American League.

Then on both days there's been moments of the wheels coming off, like in the New York four-run fifth inning on Saturday as they took a commanding 4-1 lead in their eventual 5-2 win.

Mike Clevinger who comes into Sunday's game at 2-0 with a solid 2.82 ERA, allowed three runs on seven hits in his last start on May 1st against the Rangers.

In his last two stars, Clevinger has allowed seven earned runs on 15 hits in 12.2 innings. This after allowing 5 runs on 19 hits over his first five starts, 25.2 innings pitched.

He needs to stay away from allowing New York to have the big inning.

2. More Please

Two players that have hit the ball well over the last week plus is that of Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez. That's two of the top three in the order, and if this team could ever get Jason Kipnis on track they would be downright dangerous in the top of their lineup.

Lindor over the last seven games is 16-for-40 with three homers and eight RBI. JRam has been even better, hitting 14-for-31 with two homers and 9 RBI.

It doesn't take much in a lineup for it to have success, just a couple of guys, and these two guys at the top of the Tribe order have really done the job as of late setting the table for the rest of the lineup to come through.

1. Who is Domingo German?

It's tough at times to come in and face a player you've never seen before, but that's exactly what the Indians will do when they go up against Domingo German on Sunday.

What we know about German is that he's 25 years old, and has been helping out coming out of the Yankees pen a bit this year, giving the Indians a little tape to watch.

In five relief appearances since he was called up from Triple-A Columbus on April 7, German has a 3.77 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 14.1 innings for the Bronx Bombers.

German He was acquired from Miami along with Nathan Eovaldi in the 2014 trade of Martin Prado and subsequently was re-signed by the Yankees in 2015.

He's always wanted to be in the Yankees’ starting rotation, and he'll get his shot to make his mark against the Indians in the finale Sunday.
