The Miami Marlins need to get in the win column.

Sitting at 0-6 on the season, the team’s already sitting in last place in the National League East and although the rest of the division isn’t exactly pulling away early, it’s still best if Miami can avoid digging too deep of a hole in April.

Converted closer A.J. Puk is also determined to prove he’s capable of starting, hoping to improve on last week’s abbreviated outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Lineups for the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday, April 3rd

Here's how the Marlins will line up for the contest:

2B Luis Arraez
1B Josh Bell
DH Jake Burger
LF Bryan De La Cruz
CF Jazz Chisholm Jr.
SS Tim Anderson
RF Avisaíl García
3B Vidal Brujan
C Nick Fortes

Puk’s hoping that his second start goes better than his first, where he lasted only two innings and was charged with four runs on three hits and six walks, striking out only one. Only four Angels have ever seen Puk, with Jo Adell (1-1, RBI) the only one to record a hit against him.

Here's how the Angels will line up to close the series:

3B Luis Rengifo
RF Aaron Hicks
DH Mike Trout
LF Taylor Ward
2B Brandon Drury
1B Miguel Sanó
C Logan O'Hoppe
CF Jo Adell
SS Zach Neto

Starting for the Angels is their Opening Day starter, Patrick Sandoval. The left, similar to Puk, probably also wants a do-over on his first start of the season, as Sandoval was tagged for five runs (three earned) in 1.2 innings by the Baltimore Orioles. He gave up six hits and walked two, ultimately being pulled after recording only two strikeouts. The only Marlins hitter to homer off of Sandoval is catcher Nick Fortes, who is 2-3 with a solo shot, while shortstop Tim Anderson has the best track record off of Sandoval, going 4-8 with an RBI.
