Home Turf Advantage is Vital to Marlins Victories, Playoff Push

LoanDepot Park brings a lot of comfort for the Miami Marlins players. There's nothing like playing on your home turf.
This Marlins group is having fun winning games at home, and this hasn't been done in recent years.
All About Winning at Home

Miami has joined a few baseball teams this season to win 40 or more games at home. The Marlins have played some of their best baseball in their ballpark. The attendance might not be very high, but that doesn't diminish their production on the field.
The Marlins haven't made the playoffs since 2023. That's the same season they won 46 games at home. They finished with an 84-78 record. The 2026 team is almost similar to the 2023 team, which was the last team to win at least 40 games at home, per Marlins Communications on X (formerly Twitter).
By the end of August, the 2023 Marlins had a 66-67 record. As of Aug 23, the current Marlins have a 66-64 record (40-25 at home).
The way things are going, there's a good chance that the Marlins could finish the season with more than 84 wins. We are seeing impressive pitching by Eury Perez. He pitched a good game Saturday night against the Washington Nationals, finishing with four strikeouts and giving up one earned run through five innings.
Griffin Conine continues to have a summer to remember. Jakob Marsee, who struggled for most of the season offensively, has been a spark lately for the Marlins. Marsee hit his eighth home run of the season on Saturday. In the last 30 games, Marsee has scored 15 runs and batted with an .811 OPS.

Winning happens when everyone understands their roles. Winning occurs when teammates enjoy playing with each other and encourage each other to elevate their game. It's nice to see these players who were struggling in the first half are starting to hit their stride in the second half slowly.
Earning 40 wins at home is a good accomplishment for the Marlins. It's great to achieve this, especially during MLB's Players Weekend. Heriberto Hernandez has been another unsung hero for this team. No one would have expected him to become the Marlins' home run leader with 19. He connected his 19th homer of the season on Saturday.
Hernandez has been on fire in the last ten games. Hernandez has belted three home runs to go with an .890 OPS. Surprises can be a good thing sometimes, and the Marlins are definitely happy about this surge from Hernandez.

The bullpen did a good job on Saturday, and this is how they need to perform in late game situations. A weak bullpen will cost a team games. The Marlins will look to earn their 41st home win on Sunday.
