This all-time great says they don't matchup.

Former Yankees Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera, who is considered the best closer of all-time, believes there's no comparison between Mets' Edwin Diaz's "Narco" entrance song and his former entrance song "Enter Sandman" by Metallica.

"There's no comparison. There's no comparison with that," Rivera told Jennifer Williams of Fox 5. "That song was there for 17 years and many championships, so there's no comparison."

Diaz's "Narco," by Timmy Trumpet, took the baseball world by storm last year as he put together a dominant season for a closer.

The fans at Citi Field came to love Diaz's entrance song, which was played during his run in from the bullpen to the mound.

Timmy Trumpet even came out to Citi Field to perform live for one of Diaz's saves last season.

In the end, Rivera had multiple decades of success and several World Series titles to show for it.

Diaz may have endured a spectacular campaign for the Mets in 2022, but there's a long way to go if he wants to match Rivera and "Enter Sandman."

Diaz had a strong season in '22, posting a 3.2 bWAR, 1.31 ERA, 32 saves and 118 strikeouts in 62 innings.
