Phillies Unveil "City Connect" Jerseys, Announce Dates They'll Be Worn

In this story:
The Philadelphia Phillies made some headlines this offseason when it was revealed they were doing away with the red jerseys that had become a fan favorite to some.
It was later announced they were getting a "City Connect" uniform in their rotation for the upcoming year and had to drop one of their designs to make room for this new jersey, which was why the reds are no longer in the arsenal.
With anticipation high for how these new uniforms might look, there was a leak that left fans not feeling all too great about how these will turn out.
The good news is that the wait is almost over.
The Phillies posted a cryptic message on their social media platform hinting that something might be coming on April 5.

Philadelphia later revealed this would indeed be the day that their "City Connect" uniforms are revealed. They will only be sold at the New Era Phillies Team Store located at Citizens Bank Park starting on Friday and that will be the exclusive location in Philadelphia to purchase this new uniform.
As far as when players might be seen wearing their new look on the field, the Phillies announced the first time these jerseys will be worn is on April 12 when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates at home.
After they are officially unveiled in game action, these uniforms will be worn every Friday home game for the remainder of the season.
The reviews on the appearance of these jerseys were mostly negative when the early look was leaked, but maybe that changes following the final touches that Nike will put on them before they're officially worn in a game setting.
