The Philadelphia Phillies have an open roster spot after center fielder Brandon Marsh injured his knee on a play during Saturday's matchup with the Kansas City Royals.

While the MRI came back clean on Marsh's knee, manager Rob Thomson said that the outfielder was expected to miss two to three weeks of time as he recovers.

It's a blow to the Phillies as Marsh has posted an astounding .968 OPS in his last 19 games. Now, Philadelphia will have to turn to some other role players to try and replace his production.

In a corresponding move to placing Marsh on the 10-day injured list, the Phillies have called up infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson from triple-A Lehigh Valley. When he makes his first appearance in a game it will be his Major League debut.

Wilson has hit .260 along with 25 home runs at Lehigh Valley this season. Defensively, Wilson is primarily a shortstop but has played both corner outfield positions at the triple-A level.

Philadelphia will go for the series win over the Royals on Sunday as Taijuan Walker takes the mound for the Phillies. He will face Zack Greinke with first pitch slated for 1:35 p.m. ET.
