Cincinnati Reds Outfielder Leaves Game vs. Diamondbacks With Concerning Injury

In this story:
The Reds started off the day with some positive injury news when they announced that Tony Santillan was activated from the injured list.
However, bad news was on the way. Later in the day, Spencer Steer announced he would miss the rest of the season with the injury to his wrist.
“I had a feeling,” Steer told The Cincinnati Enquirer's Gordon Wittenmyer. “But I’m an optimistic person. So I figured there was maybe still a chance that I’d be able to come back on the back end of September and get in some games and at least finish the year healthy. It’s looking like that’s not the case anymore.”
Steer is still not sure if he will need surgery.

With the Diamondbacks leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning, Geraldo Perdomo hit a line drive to left field that was caught by a diving Michael Toglia. However, Toglia immediately grabbed his shoulder in pain.
On the broadcast, Jeff Brantley mentioned that the injury looked similar to the injury that Matt McLain and Edwin Arroyo had, forcing them to miss an entire season.
Toglia left the game and TJ Friedl came on to play left field.
Update: The Reds announced that Toglia left the game with a right shoulder dislocation.
Reds Continue to Let Leads Slip Away

Holding onto leads has been a major issue for the Reds this season. Cincinnati has lost 27 games in which it held a lead, with 25 of those losses coming since May 2.
The Reds have also lost eight games in which they were tied or leading after the bottom of the eighth inning. Thursday's 10-9 loss to the Cardinals was especially painful, as Cincinnati led 5-4 entering the ninth and scored nine runs in a game for the first time this season, only to still come away with a loss.
The Reds came into Friday's game 61-67 and in last place in the National League Central Division. They are now seven games back of the third and final National League Wild Card spot. If they want to have any chance at the postseason, they're going to have to win about 10 straight games.
