This lineup is drastically different than Chicago's normal lineup against left-handers. Chase Meidroth will sit once again with a wrist injury. While he isn't expected to be out long-term, it is still concerning that Meidroth is missing any time.
Brenton Doyle will lead off, playing center field against Reds starter Nick Lodolo. Doyle has a home run in his career off of Lodolo, so this will be interesting to watch. This will be Doyle's fourth time leading off this season. Munetaka Murakami and Miguel Vargas will be high up in the lineup, per usual.
However, the lineup takes another turn with Randal Grichuk playing left field and in the cleanup spot. Grichuk has not hit a home run since June 24, but is hitting for a high average (.321). Braden Montgomery will go above Colson Montgomery in the order, who will be the designated hitter on Tuesday and has struggled to a .186/.254/.305 slash line in his last 15 games.
Despite there being a lefty on the mound, Sam Antonacci will be batting eighth and playing second base due to Meidroth's injury. Antonacci is slashing .203/.304/.232 against left-handers this season.

This is a Reds lineup that can score in bunches, led by Elly De La Cruz and Sal Stewart. Tyler Stephenson and JJ Bleday have had good seasons as well, with the former on a hot streak. In Stephenson's last 30 games, he is slashing .317/.389/.554 with five home runs and 14 runs driven in.
The bottom of the lineup hasn't done much this season, and it should be a great matchup for White Sox ace Sean Burke.
On The Mound...
Chicago White Sox - Sean Burke, RHP
Sean Burke has gone from a pitcher who lacked control to one of the best in baseball. In his last seven games, he has a 1.74 ERA with 57 strikeouts and nine walks in 41.1 innings. However, in his last outing, Burke pitched just 4.1 innings, giving up two runs. He will need to replicate his previous production to win this game.
Cincinnati Reds - Nick Lodolo, LHP
This will be Lodolo's first start in a month, as he had a blister on his left index finger that shelved him. In 12 starts this season, Lodolo has a 4.60 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 62.2 innings. In his last start on July 11 against the Chicago Cubs, Lodolo pitched five innings, giving up two runs. He's had a problem with walking guys (27 on the year), so the White Sox will have to wait for their pitch to win this game.
