A swarming Indiana Pacers defense was instrumental in the team's 89-84 victory over the Chicago Bulls in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Despite the victory, the Pacers still trailed 3-1 in the series.

A sold-out crowd of 18,119 cheered on the Memphis Grizzlies as they earned their first-ever home playoff victory with a 91-88 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals. The victory gave the eighth-seeded Grizzlies a 2-1 series lead over the Spurs, the top seed in the West.
