Redick, making $6.2 million this season, is set to become a free agent this summer. He is averaging career highs of 15.1 points, 4.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 31.5 minutes as he's taken on a greater role for the Magic, who used him off the bench for all but 11 games this season. Redick is also shooting a career-high 45 percent from the field. A 39 percent three-point shooter, Redick will bring a floor-spacing element that will be particularly useful for the Bucks, who have fallen to eighth in the Eastern Conference after a 2-8 skid. Milwaukee leads ninth-place Philadelphia by 3½ games.
The 28-year-old Redick joins a Bucks backcourt that includes starters Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, who both play more than 37 minutes a game, shoot 40 percent from the field and average just under 20 points. Jennings will be a restricted free agent after the season, while Ellis can opt out and become an unrestricted free agent. The Point Forward's Rob Mahoney examined Ellis' strengths and weaknesses earlier this week amid talk that the Bucks might deal him before the deadline.
Milwaukee reportedly pursued a deadline trade for Hawks forward Josh Smith, who wound up remaining in Atlanta. Instead, the Bucks get a player in Redick who should boost an offense that ranks 26th in shooting percentage, 21st in three-point percentage and 25th in points scored per possession.
Ayon, 27, was acquired by the Magic as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Hornets last summer. The Mexican center is averaging 3.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.3 minutes. Smith, 24, is averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 assists in 10.5 minutes.
Udrih, 30, is averaging 6.7 points and 3.5 assists in the final year of a contract that pays him $7.4 million. Lamb, the 42nd pick in last year's draft, is averaging 3.5 points in 23 games. Harris, 20, was the 19th pick in 2011 after one season at Tennessee. He started the first 14 games of the season but has played sparingly since. In 28 games, he is averaging 4.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 11.6 minutes.
