Bobcats forward Josh McRoberts threw down a poster dunk over Heat forward/center Chris "Birdman" Andersen during Miami's 99-88 home victory in Game 1 on Sunday.

All things considered, this was a plucky effort from the underdog Bobcats, who were beaten but not embarrassed by the two-time defending champions. Although it didn't affect the outcome in any meaningful way, McRoberts did manage to sneak in a top-shelf highlight with his slam over Andersen.

Just seconds into the fourth quarter with Miami leading 72-65, McRoberts slipped a high screen and received a bounce pass from Luke Ridnour on the left wing. Attacking the hoop hard, McRoberts found himself in the open, as LeBron James remained on the perimeter, expecting to double Ridnour and failing to see the play develop behind him.

McRobert's approach into the open court forced Andersen to rotate over from the right baseline, and he got there in time to go straight up and contest the dunk try with his right hand. Even with the defender well positioned, McRoberts was able to finish cleanly over the top, stuffing a right-handed hammer over Andersen so cleanly that no foul was called on the play either way.

The Heat cruised thanks to 27 points (on 8-for-16 shooting), nine rebounds and one assist from James. Dwyane Wade added 23 points (on 10-for-16 shooting) and five assists in the win.

Kemba Walker led the Bobcats with 20 points (on 6-for-15 shooting), six assists and five rebounds. Al Jefferson posted 18 points (on 9-for-17 shooting) and 10 rebounds despite struggling with a foot injury.

Miami, the East's No. 2 seed, took a 1-o series lead over Charlotte, the East's N0.7 seed. Game 2 is set for American Airlines Arena on Wednesday night.
