Watch: Kenneth Faried throws down monster dunk against Bulls

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried threw down a monster dunk during Tuesday night's game against the Bulls in Denver.

Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried threw down a monster dunk during Tuesday night's game against the Bulls in Denver.

With around three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Faried rebounded a missed jumpshot from Cameron Bairstow, turned upcourt and began leading the Nuggets in transition. With three teammates running to his left, Faried rifled a pass to J.J. Hickson, who bounced the ball back to Faried as he neared the free-throw line. After collecting the ball, Faried took one step and exploded toward the rim before slamming the ball home with one hand over a half-hearted contest from Bairstow. As Faried made his way back on defense, Nuggets Nate Robinson celebrated on the sideline.

Faried signed a four-year contract extension reportedly worth $50 million in October after a strong showing with Team USA at the FIBA Basketball World Cup this summer. The 6-foot-8 forward has averaged 11.6 points and 7.0 rebounds this season, down from the numbers (13.7 ppg, 8.6 rebounds) he posted over 80 games last season.
