Watch: Pelicans' Anthony Davis runs the floor for an impressive layup

Pelicans forward Anthony Davis ran the floor and converted an impressive layup in the first quarter of Tuesday night's game against the Kings.

File this under "Anthony Davis doing Anthony Davis things."

With less than four minutes remaining in the first quarter of Tuesday night's game between the Kings and Pelicans in New Orleans, Davis intercepted a pass from DeMarcus Cousins, streaked down the floor and split two defenders before laying the ball in. The 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward took only two dribbles after crossing halfcourt.

Davis is averaging 26.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 1.8 assists in 12 games this season. He leads the league in Player Efficiency Rating, Win Shares and VORP in addition to emerging as an early contender for the Most Valuable Player award. The 21-year-old is in his third season after being selected No. 1 overall in the 2012 draft.
