TNT NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager recounted his battle with cancer on Inside the NBA.

Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in April and missed the playoffs. He received a bone marrow transplant from his son, Craig Sager Jr.

Best known for his outlandish suits, Sager has been a fixture of TNT's NBA coverage for more than 20 seasons. No timetable has been set for Sager's return to NBA coverage.

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who is infamously brief with sideline reporters, sent Sager his well wishes during a playoff interview with Sager's son and was interviewed for the tribute.

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Garnett sent flowers to Sager in the hospital. In the Inside the NBA piece, Garnett spoke about his close relationship with Sager.

TNT analysts Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and host Ernie Johnson each told stories about how Sager has impacted their lives.
