Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson was arrested for suspicion driving under the influence of alcohol in Los Angeles, reports TMZ.com.

According to the report. Lawson was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol for speeding on the 101 Freeway on Tuesday morning, after leaving a Hollywood nightclub.

He was arrested at 2:29 a.m. and booked at the L.A. County Jail an hour later with his bond set at $5,000, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. The L.A. Sheriff's Department did not list a charge for Lawson, but indicated the charge is a misdemeanor. He is due in court on Aug. 4.

Lawson was also arrested for DUI in January after Denver police pulled him over after observing him going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was cited for speeding, DUI and careless driving in that case.

Lawson pleaded guilty to underage drinking and driving in 2008 while playing for the University of North Carolina.

Lawson just completed his sixth season in the NBA, all of which have been in Denver.

He led the team in both points (15.2) and assists (9.6) per game this season and has been the subject of recent trade rumors.

At the time of his first arrest, the Nuggets were reportedly trying to deal Lawson, as former head coach Brian Shaw wanted to replace Lawson with Indiana Pacers guard George Hill.

According to SI.com’s Chris Mannix, Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl is interested in a possible reunion with Lawson. Karl coached Lawson for four seasons in Denver, from 2009–13, making a playoff appearance in each season.

Lawson has two years remaining on a four- year, $48 million deal he signed in 2012. He set to make $12.4 million next season.
