The NBA preseason is about to hit full swing, and the start of the regular season is less than three weeks away. With the 2015–16 campaign on the horizon, teams and players are preparing for the start of the season.

• Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard told Texans Radio that he played with a torn MCL and meniscus during the Western Conference Finals last season.

• Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne that he went to his estranged wife’s house to check on his children because they seemed uncomfortable, disclosing the events that led up to the physical confrontation with Knicks head coach Derek Fisher. Fisher is dating Barnes’ estranged wife Gloria Govan.

• Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha was found not guilty of all three misdemeanor charges stemming from an April arrest in New York City.

• The New Orleans Pelicans announced that center Omer Asik will be out for three weeks with a calf strain.

• Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown said injured point guards Kendall Marshall and Tony Wroten are at least a month away from returning to the court, Derek Bodner of Philadelphia Magazine reports.

• The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed free agent guard Dionte Christmas, according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.
