Report: Hornets close to three-year extension with Jeremy Lamb
The Charlotte Hornets and guard Jeremy Lamb are nearing a three-year contract extension worth in the neighborhood of $21 million, ESPN’s Marc Stein reports.
Lamb, 23, was acquired by Charlotte in a trade with the Thunderduring the off-season. The Hornets sent Luke Ridnour’s and a conditional second-round pick to Oklahoma City in return. Ridnour was subsequently waived.
Lamb played sparingly in three seasons with the Thunder, seeing the most action in ’13–14. He appeared in 47 games last year, including eight starts, and averaged 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game.
Charlotte lost 94–92 against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Lamb scored nine points on 4-of-11 shooting in 18 minutes off the bench.
