Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard will miss his third straight game on Saturday due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced.

Lillard has been experiencing pain his heel for over three weeks, and aggravated the injury in a loss to the Miami Heat on Dec. 20, causing him to sit out the team’s next two games. Never before in his three-plus years in the NBA had he missed a game.

The 25-year-old has averaged 24.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 29 games this season.

In his absence, C.J. McCollum, Allen Crabbe and Tim Frazier have all seen increased minutes.
