Shaquille O'Neal traded to Phoenix
Often on the move, Shaquille O'Neal was traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks in 2008, effectively ending the Seven Seconds or Less era.
Ray Allen traded to Seattle
This deal involved two NBA legends, as Ray Allen, Kevin Ollie, Ronald Murray and a conditional first-round pick were traded for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason in 2003.
Carmelo Anthony traded to New York
In one of the biggest trades in NBA history, the Nuggets completed a three-team, 13 player deal that landed Carmelo Anthony in New York in 2011. Denver landed Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Timofey Mozgov, a future first-round pick and two future second-round picks, the right to exchange 2016 first-round picks and cash considerations. Eddy Curry and Anthony Randolph were sent to Minnesota.
Ron Artest traded to Indiana
Ron Artest, Brad Miller and Kevin Ollie were traded to Chicago in exchange for Jalen Rose, Travis Best, Norm Richardson and a second-round draft pick in 2002.
Isaiah Thomas traded to Boston
One in a series of moves for Isaiah Thomas, the Suns shipped the point guard to Boston, where he played to the best season of his career. Phoenix received Marcus Thornton and the Cavs’ 2016 first-round pick. Thomas has since been moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving.
