NBA Best Bets: You Will Have Fun Betting on the Suns

Suns guard Devin Booker

Let's get back at it tonight in the NBA after a 1-2 night on Tuesday

The Nuggets really let us down last night, they led most of the way but lost the money for us in the fourth quarter. Props to the Mavericks on two road wins to start the season. The Grizzlies kept in close in the first half, but Anthony Davis and the Lakers opened it up in the second half. We did cash with the Heat last night over the Hawks. Trae Young hurt his ankle and it looked pretty bad. The good news is today after the swelling went down, he didn't even need an MRI. Young will be back sometime next week. That's good, we like Young and will cash plenty of Hawks tickets until the market catches up to them.

There are 11 games on the slate Wednesday night, and I have two best bets along with a few other strong leans.

Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers: Cavaliers +2

A pair of Eastern Conference bottom feeders meet in the Land tonight. The Cavs are 1-2 on the season and 2-1 ATS. The Bulls are both 1-4 straight up and ATS. I personally do not understand why the Bulls are the favorites in this game. The Bulls’ lone win on the season came on the road versus the young Grizzlies. Other than that, the Bulls have losses to the Knicks, Raptors, and Hornets. The Cavs have road losses to the Magic and Bucks, their one win was at home versus the Pacers—that 11-point victory was much worse than the score indicated.

The Cavaliers are coming off a terrible season and the public remembers that. What they don't remember is that Kevin Love and Tristian Thompson are both healthy and are big contributors to this team. The Cavs will be good at home tonight to cover the spread and get the victory. For the most part, I bet against short road favorites. Betting against the lowly Bulls tonight in that situation is a no-brainer.

Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors: Suns +5

It didn't take the public long to buy back into the Warriors. A few days ago, the sky was falling, but after an impressive road win vs the Pelicans, the majority of the tickets and the money tonight are on the Warriors. I have mentioned how much I like the Suns this year, who are currently undefeated ATS. The Suns have victories over the Kings and Clippers, and a pair of heartbreaking 1-point losses to the Jazz and Nuggets. The Suns are covering spreads and beating the best teams in the Western Conference. Taking the Suns tonight catching 5 points is easy money. I would even drip on the moneyline.

Strong Leans

Portland Trail Blazers at Oklahoma City Thunder: The Blazers are laying 1.5 points on the fourth game of a four-game road trip. The Blazers are a tough bunch, but I will take the points with the Thunder.

Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics: The Celtics are catching points at home on a nationally televised game. Sign me up for Celtics +3.5.

New York Knicks at Orlando Magic: The total in this game is 209.5, but both these teams will struggle to score 100 points. The under should cash.

Season record: 4-3
