Bradley Beal Being Investigated by Police for Heated Fan Encounter, per Report

Wizards star Bradley Beal is under investigation in Orlando over an alleged incident with a fan following a game last week, according to police documents obtained by ESPN.

According to a police report, the incident occurred following Washington’s 122–111 loss to the Magic at the Amway Center last Tuesday near the visiting team’s tunnel. A group of fans approached Beal as the Wizards made their way off the court and back to the locker room and allegedly accosted him for causing him to losing his bet on the game, yelling “You made me lose $1,300 you f---.”

Beal responded to the heckling by approaching the group. He then allegedly swatted the hat off of another fan’s head and ”made contact" with the left side of the man's head in the process, per the report.

According to footage reviewed by police, Beal can be heard telling the group of fans that this is his job and that he takes it seriously. The man was then heard apologizing, per the report, saying that he did not intend to offend the Wizards guard with his remark.

The Orlando Police Department is investigating Beal, 29, for battery but no charges have been filed against him as of Tuesday morning.
