Jordan Poole Tried to Borrow Steph Curry's No-Look Celebration and It Backfired Spectacularly

Jordan Poole tried to bring some Steph Curry magic to the Wizards’ game on Saturday night. It did not work.

Facing the Grizzlies, Poole spotted up for a corner three in the first quarter. With the ball still hanging in the air, Poole turned around to face the crowd and the Memphis bench, anticipating an explosion from the home fans as his shot fell through the net.

This celebration is a staple of Curry's arsenal, and a move that Poole saw up close a number of times during his years with Golden State.

But Poole made one drastic mistake regarding his premature celebration: he didn’t make the shot.

Predictably, fans following the game online had good time joking about Poole's misfortune.

Poole's shot was a near-perfect recreation of Nick Young's infamous miss, as several accounts noted.

Luckily for Poole, his miscue came so early in the game that he had plenty of time to redeem himself.

When the final buzzer sounded, Poole finished with a game-high 27 points, leading the Wizards to a 113–106 win over Memphis.
