The internet couldn’t get enough of Jimmy Butler’s media day appearance ahead of the 2023–24 season as he debuted “Emo Jimmy.”
The look included Butler sporting straightened hair and a pair of new piercings, one above his eyebrow and one in his nose.

Butler’s emo look will be seen throughout the NBA season as he took his official team photos with the straightened hair and piercings.
The 34-year-old quickly returned to his original style after the media day frenzy.
This wasn’t the first time the forward debuted a new look at media day. Last season, Butler showed up with dreadlocks and the picture went viral, becoming his profile picture used during broadcasts for much of the year.
