Clippers' Kawhi Leonard Set to Play in Game 2 vs. Mavericks

The Los Angeles Clippers will receive a significant boost for Game 2 of their first-round matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, with Kawhi Leonard set to make his return to the lineup.

Leonard was unavailable for the opening game of the series while continuing to recover from the knee injury that left him sidelined for the final month of the regular season. Coach Tyronn Lue confirmed ahead of the game that Leonard would be ready to go on Tuesday night.

In the absence of Leonard, Los Angeles was able to pull off a 109–97 victory in Game 1, and they'll look to build off that win with their superstar forward back in action. The Clippers had five scorers in double digits, led by James Harden's 28, and were able to hold off the duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who combined for 64 points.

Leonard featured in 68 games during the regular season, averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game while shooting at a 52.5% clip from the field and 41.7% from three-point range.

Tip-off for Tuesday's game is set for 10 p.m. ET from the Crypto.com Arena in L.A.
