Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was the talk of the NBA on Monday night after he drained a buzzer-beating jump shot over the outstretched arm of Anthony Davis to sink the Los Angeles Lakers, extending Denver's lead to 2-0 in their first-round series.

Murray's game-winner deserves all the praise and recognition, but blink and you might miss an exemplary act of sportsmanship that occurred immediately after the clutch shot.

As the Nuggets mobbed Murray, Davis' momentum from contesting the shot carried him into Denver's celebration, leaving his lower body at risk for a potential injury. Nuggets guard — and Davis's former Lakers teammate — Kentavious Caldwell-Pope quickly recognized this and made sure that the Lakers big man didn't get hurt in a video shared by TJ Manotoc on X, formerly Twitter.

In the midst of his Nuggets teammates celebrating an exciting win, Caldwell-Pope still took the time to make sure that Davis, now his opponent, wasn't going to suffer a freak injury.

Pure class from the Nuggets reserve guard.
