The Philadelphia 76ers figured they might be without both of their All-Stars on Sunday night against the Toronto Raptors.

As expected, the Sixers will roll without Joel Embiid once again as he continues to recover from a meniscus injury, which required surgery last month. While Embiid has been with the team lately, joining in practices and workouts, he hasn’t been cleared for game action just yet.

Hours before the Sixers and the Raptors were scheduled to tip-off, Philadelphia added its first-time All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey to the injury report. According to the team, Maxey is dealing with hip tightness. As a result, he was questionable.

When the Sixers wrapped up their Friday night game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Maxey concluded his 65th game of the year. Once again, the young guard has shown growth in his game, which shows up in the numbers.

Heading into Sunday’s game in Toronto, Maxey is averaging 26 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 37 percent from deep. He’s shown growth as a playmaker, dishing out six assists per game.

Throughout his career, Maxey has had some outstanding performances against Toronto. In 17 games, Maxey has averaged 22 points, five assists, and four rebounds against the Raptors over 17 games.

Unfortunately for the Sixers, they won't have the opportunity to rely on Maxey on Sunday night. After being considered a game-time decision, the Sixers have decided to rule out the All-Star for the evening.

The Sixers and the Raptors are set to tip-off at 6 PM ET.
