On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Utah Jazz for the final game of their West Coast road trip, which has seen them fall into a three-game losing streak.

In their most recent outing, the Sixers fell to the Golden State Warriors, in a match that saw Joel Embiid return following a two-game stint on the bench.

To call Embiid's return to the court rusty, would be an understatement, as the reigning MVP only managed to put up 14 points on 27 percent shooting while committing eight turnovers.

One of the talking points throughout the match was Embiid's health, as he could be seen taking some time to get up after falling, as well as making two trips to the Sixers' locker room.

The first trip came in the first half, while his second visit came in the closing minute of the match after the Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga landed on his knee while going after the ball.

Immediately Embiid could be seen wincing in pain, and his night came to a close.

Following the match, Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse stated that the team would conduct an MRI on Embiid to assess things, further explaining that his reason for leaving is separate from his ongoing injury.

"He got landed on, so they're going to do an MRI tonight or tomorrow," said Nurse, "it's unrelated to what's been bothering him, so we just wait on that."

While the results of the MRI haven't been made public, the Cameroonian's status for Thursday night's match has, as Embiid will be out against the Jazz, the team announced.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Embiid won't be with the team as they travel to Utah, as he is expected to return to Philadelphia.

Embiid missed the Sixers' first match against the Jazz earlier in the month due to swelling in his left knee.
