NBA Legend Opens up on 76ers' Addition of Buddy Hield

In this story:
By the end of the trade deadline, the Philadelphia 76ers had made an array of moves. Among the most notable was acquiring Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers.
Hield has been connected to the Sixers for a few years now, and finally finds himself in Philly. Daryl Morey was able to acquire the sharpshooting guard in exchange for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz, and draft compensation.
Since this trade became official, many have expressed how this was a good move for the Sixers. Among those to express their approval in the deal was NBA legend Magic Johnson. The Hall of Fame point guard took to Twitter/X to share his thoughts on what Hield brings to the Sixers.
The 76ers acquiring Buddy Hield makes them a better team because of his 3-point shooting ability. His skill will create more space for a healthy Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey to operate on the offensive end!

Due to the Sixers dealing with multiple injuries at the moment, Hield saw himself immediately thrown into the mix for his new team. Despite having minimal time to prepare, he's managed to already be an impactful piece for the Sixers.
On Monday night, Hield had by far his best performance in a Sixers' uniform. In 35 minutes against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he finished with 24 points, four rebounds, and eight assists. Hield did this on 9-for-13 shooting from the field, including going 5-for-8 from beyond the arc.
As Magic said, Hield's three-point shooting ability is what makes him an ideal complement for the Sixers. With Joel Embiid being the focal point of the offense, he needs proper spacing to pick apart defenses in the mid-range area. Having an efficient, high-volume shooter like Hield on the floor should make life easier for the reigning MVP when he makes his return.
Because of how much his game helps Embiid's, Hield as a chance to be one of the most impactful additions of this year's trade deadline.
