Out:
Damian Lillard (Right Calf Deep Vein Thrombosis)
Bobby Portis Jr. (League Suspension)
Jericho Sims (Right Thumb UCL Sprain)
Questionable:
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Left Foot Sprain)
Antetokounmpo lands on the injury report due to a left foot sprain.
The 30-year-old superstar missed Wednesday's match against the Nuggets due to an injury, but there is a chance he will play on Friday night. He missed his first game since the team's return from the All-Star break.
The Bucks star was last on the court on Monday against the Phoenix Suns. Antetokounmpo scored 31 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 37 minutes in that contest. Antetokounmpo will miss his 13th game of the season.
The 30-year-old has been incredible this season, averaging 30.2 points per game, 12.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 60.0 percent from the field in 34.0 minutes and 59 games.
Antetokounmpo has been carrying the load for the past few games.
This will be the Bucks' first game back from their five-game road trip. Milwaukee finished that road trip with a 2-3 record. With or without Antetokounmpo, the Bucks will look to seek their first win over the Knicks this season, as they are currently 0-2 in the season series.
Milwaukee will search for its 41st win of the season. Before Friday's matchup, the Bucks were the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are two games out of the fourth seed and 0.5 back from the No. 5 seed.
The Bucks are set to host the Knicks for their first and only regular-season meeting in Milwaukee—unless the two teams meet in the playoffs. As things currently stand, the Bucks and Knicks are on track to face each other in the first round.
Milwaukee holds a 27-19 record in Eastern Conference matchups and has struggled in close games, posting a 5-9 record in one-possession contests. Meanwhile, New York has fared well within the conference, boasting a 30-14 record. The Knicks also rank ninth in the East in offensive rebounding, averaging 10.8 per game, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the charge at 3.0 per game.
Over their last 10 games, the Bucks have gone 4-6, averaging 111.8 points, 42.6 rebounds, 29.4 assists, 9.1 steals, and 4.1 blocks per game, shooting 47.1 percent from the field. Their opponents, however, have averaged 109.1 points in that span.
