After suffering back-to-back losses, the Milwaukee Bucks took a two-day off for a much-needed chance to recharge as a gigantic game awaits them on Thursday.

The second game of Milwaukee's four-game homestand will have the Bucks battling Jrue Holiday and the Boston Celtics. Milwaukee is off to a rough start this month, losing four of their five games, including a one-sided 116-132 loss to the Utah Jazz on Monday night.

Badly needing a win

Milwaukee badly needs to restore order but faces an uphill task to do it, as it will be taking on a Celtics team that is number one in the Eastern Conference.

Milwaukee has yet to lose three straight games this season. The Celtics have a 28-8 card, holding a three-and-a-half-game lead over the Bucks, who are in second place with a 25-12 slate.

Round 1 went to the Celtics

Milwaukee and Boston will be meeting for the second time this season. They first met on November 22nd, where the Celtics scored a close 119-116 win. Damian Lillard had 28 points in the loss, while Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 and 21 points, respectively.

The Celtics took down the Bucks behind a balanced attack as all of their players who saw action managed to score, with all but one finishing in twin digits. Holiday, the Bucks' former point guard, was the lone Celtics who did not score in double figures with five.

While the Bucks will be well-rested for the upcoming duel, the Celtics will be dealing with weary legs as they will play the back end of a back-to-back. Boston will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night before traveling to Milwaukee.
