The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned rookie Chris Livingston to the Wisconsin Herd in the G-League.

The assignment of Livingston to the G-League came a day before Wisconsin plays the Long Island Nets in New York, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reported.

Minimal minutes

Livingston, the 58th and final pick in last year’s NBA Draft, has played 14 games with the Bucks season. The youthful forward submitted averages of 1.2 points, 0.9 rebounds, 0.3 assists, and 0.1 blocks in a measly 4.3 minutes of playing time per game.

As he barely gets playing minutes, Livingston has yet to score in double figures this season and has already logged seven scoreless games. The most points he has scored so far is six, which came on January 9th in a 116-132 loss to the Utah Jazz.

A vital cog for Wisconsin

It’s not the first time that the Bucks assigned Livingston to the Herd, who is one of the consistent producers. Chris has already played five games with Wisconsin with averages of 14.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 25.9 minutes of playing time.

Sending their young players to the Herd has been a common occurrence for the Bucks this season. Sophomore forward MarJon Beauchamp has just returned to the squad after a brief assignment to the Herd.

Milwaukee also has vTyTy Washington Jr. as a two-way player, which means he can be deployed to the G-League while being a regular member of the Bucks’ NBA roster.
