Chicago Bulls to hold training camp in Nashville

In this story:
In an apparent effort to shake things up, the Chicago Bulls have announced that they will be holding part of their training camp for the 2023-2024 season in Nashville. The training camp venue will be the Crockett Center inside the Belmont University in Nashville—a location that players, coaches, and management decided on.
Hectic schedule
The Bulls will have their media day on October 2 before the team flies to Nashville. Training camp is expected to bring more clarity to the team’s rotation, especially the starting five. While the “Big 3” of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic are all expected to retain their spots in the starting five, the point guard and power forward positions are up for grabs.
New acquisitions Jevon Carter and Torrey Craig are expected to battle it out with incumbents Coby White, Patrick Williams, and Alex Caruso for the starting spots. After five days of camp in Nashville, the Bulls will head to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks at the Fiserv Forum on October 8.
Bulls announce that Media Day will be Oct. 2 at Advocate Center. And, in a departure, the first week of training camp will be at a remote site---Belmont University in Nashville.

Not the first time
This isn’t the first time the Bulls are holding their training camp somewhere else. Bulls insider K.C. Johnson wrote that the team’s management had previously considered the notion and pulled it off, to an extent.
“Previous executive vice president John Paxson flirted with the idea several times back when the Bulls practiced at the Berto Center in suburban Deerfield, Ill., coming close to holding camp in Colorado one time,” Johnson wrote.
“In 1985, under Jerry Krause and with reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Michael Jordan, the Bulls trained at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin,” Johnson added.

Chicago Bulls fan ever since “the shrug.” Meeting Jud Buechler at the Berto Center before the Last Dance season is one of my GOAT NBA moments, followed by watching two games at the United Center during that campaign. Virginia Military Institute graduate and a recovering sneakerhead.
