The Chicago Bulls will have a tough visitor in Nikola Jokic and the rest of the Denver Nuggets.

In the NBA, the competition is relentless, with one tough game followed by an even tougher match. This is the challenge currently confronting the Chicago Bulls. Barely 24 hours after facing off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, the team must now transition to battle Nikola Jokic and the reigning NBA champs, the Denver Nuggets.

Contrasting results

The two teams are coming off contrasting results in their games on Monday night. While the Nuggets took care of business against the Atlanta Hawks, winning 129-122 to snap a three-game slump, the Bulls suffered a 133-129 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. It was a disheartening loss that snapped Chicago’s four-game winning run to bring their record down to 9-15.

After the game, prolific guard Coby White, who’s playing the best basketball of his young career, said it was a game they could have had but just couldn’t pull off.

“We fought really hard, but every time we needed that little play, come up with a loose ball, come up with a rebound, those are the plays we needed to get over that hump and win the game, but we didn’t come down with them,” said White.

Coby White continues playing at an All-Star caliber level.

Caruso remains questionable

The Bulls’ defensive specialist Alex Caruso missed the game against the Bucks due to an ankle sprain, and it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to suit up against the Nuggets. Caruso’s presence will be crucial against a Nuggets squad that features several prolific perimeter weapons in Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
