Can DeMar DeRozan score another big deal with the Chicago Bulls?

In this story:
Although Chicago Bulls wingman DeMar DeRozan is 34 years old, he is aging like a fine wine with impressive stats of 24.5 points per game on 50 percent shooting from last season. His playmaking was also sublime as he dished out 5.1 assists per outing, showing the evolution of his game from being a pure scorer to having an all-around impact on the court. That said, DeRozan is playing in the last year of his three-year contract with the Bulls, and the question remains: Can he do enough to score one last big payday with Chicago?
Proven scorer
Father Time may be undefeated, but Deebo—much like his idol, the late great Kobe Bryant—is giving him a run for his money. In his two seasons in Chicago, he’s been named an All-Star twice and has averages of 26.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, with a true shooting percentage of 59 percent.
“At 34, DeMar DeRozan is still one of the league's most talented scorers. While he's not known for his three-point shooting, few players can score like he can in the midrange. DeRozan averaged 24.5 points a game last season and played 150 regular season games through two years in Chicago,” Eric Pincus wrote, underscoring the benefits of a potential payday for the veteran and the team.
Can the team win more games?
The most telling metric that the Bulls may use in gauging DeRozan's value is playoff success. Despite his stellar individual performances, the Bulls do not have too many wins to show in Deebo’s two seasons in the Windy City. Last season’s campaign was brutal as the Bulls finished with a subpar 40-42 mark and barely missed the Playoffs.
“It would help if the team won more games to raise his stock even further, but Chicago's issues run deeper than any shortcomings DeRozan might have (roster composition, depth, health, etc.),” Pincus shared.
It’s indisputable, though, that DeRozan will have his fair share of suitors if the Bulls don’t come knocking on his door with an adequate contract extension offer.
