Chicago Bulls insider says starting point guard and power forward are team's biggest questions

In this story:
The Chicago Bulls' decision-makers, led by vice president Arturas Karnisovas, put together a formidable roster that just might make some noise in the Eastern Conference. Although Lonzo Ball's future availability remains a big question mark due to his puzzling knee injury, the Bulls now have more options with the acquisition of Jevon Carter and the re-signing of Coby White.
The team also bolstered the forward position with the signing of Torrey Craig. Curiously, though, Bulls insider K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports highlights the point guard and power forward positions as the ones that are up for grabs heading to the team's training camp.
Who starts?
The point guard and the power forward positions were the ones that saw the most movement last season. While the team began the campaign with Ayo Dosunmu starting, Patrick Beverley assumed the position once he arrived late in the regular season. The Bulls also made changes in the frontcourt, slotting in defensive ace Alex Caruso down the stretch.
"Who starts at point guard and power forward are the biggest questions. You could make a strong case that following the blueprint of last season, in which Patrick Beverley and Alex Caruso started down the stretch, would be prudent," Johnson wrote.
"In that scenario, Torrey Craig would start at power forward and either Caruso or Jevon Carter would start at point guard, keeping Coby White and Patrick Williams together with that second unit. But I think this is Williams' season to flourish. I see him in the starting lineup."
Serious roster depth
The Bulls may have one of the deeper teams in the league right now, capable of using a 10-man rotation in every game. Johnson commented that the starting five come opening night would be composed of Carter, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vucevic.
"I see Billy Donovan and his staff using a 10-player rotation of Jevon Carter, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Torrey Craig, Nikola Vucevic, Alex Caruso, Coby White, Patrick Williams, Ayo Dosunmu and Andre Drummond. Perhaps if Derrick Jones Jr. returns or Rudy Gay or somebody is added, he cracks the rotation at times over Drummond based on matchups. Regardless, Donovan has serious depth," Johnson added.
