Should the Chicago Bulls acquire Kelly Oubre Jr.?

In this story:
While the Chicago Bulls often have one of their two prolific wingmen—either Zach LaVine or DeMar DeRozan—on the floor at all times, the team could definitely use another scorer on their bench. In today's NBA, you can never have enough scoring options, and when it comes to getting buckets, you can trust Kelly Oubre Jr. to provide them.
Surprisingly, Oubre remains unsigned this late in the free agency period. And while the forward does carry some red flags—including attitude and defense—Chicago could consider adding him as a short-term option. Oubre could provide extra scoring when LaVine or DeRozan are not on the floor while also adding a different dimension to their second unit.
The good with the bad
Again, it's definitely interesting to see a player of such offensive caliber still available in the free-agent market at this moment. After all, the 6-foot-7 lefty is coming off a season for the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged more than 20 points per game. Elias Schuster of Bleacher Nation explained that beneath Oubre's lofty scoring average lies questionable shot selection leading to a low percentage.
"He also remains on the market for a reason. While he did average 20.3 points per game in his 48 appearances for the Charlotte Hornets last year, he chucked up nearly 17 shots per game and converted at just a 43.1 percent clip," Schuster wrote.
Two players to monitor in the free agent market are Kelly Oubre Jr. and Christian Wood.

The top available unrestricted free agents available seem destined to sign one-year prove-it deals soon in order to reestablish their value.

Short term solution
If the Bulls can acquire Oubre for the veteran's minimum, perhaps he could become the short-term solution they are looking for to put up points and fill in the gap at small forward. He does come with some risk, but at just 27 years old, his potential is still relatively high. Schuster added that Oubre may be worth a shot, but the Bulls will have to accept the fact that his efficiency is bound to fluctuate.
"If the Bulls want to add a scoring punch to their second unit, Oubre might be worth a call. But they also better be ready for some ice-cold nights and some frustrating decision-making," Schuster said.
