Tyler Herro is rumored to be in Chicago's sights if Portland pulls off a Damian Lillard trade

In this story:
The Damian Lillard trade saga has dominated the NBA news cycle for the better part of two months, with the end not yet in sight despite training camp starting a week from now. The seven-time All-Star had indicated he would prefer to be traded to the Miami Heat, but the Portland Trail Blazers have yet to encounter a suitable package.
However, should a few more teams get involved in a deal for Lillard, Jake Fischer from Yahoo Sports reports that the Chicago Bulls could be a potential landing spot for the Heat's promising guard, Tyler Herro.
Teams lining up to acquire Heat's best package
Portland reportedly isn't too keen on Miami's best offer for Lillard. This means for a trade for Lillard to be consummated, one or two more teams need to get involved to sweeten the pot.
The Bulls, as Fischer mentioned, could be a dark horse in all of this. They have pieces that could add value to both sides, such as Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams.
"If Portland ultimately does business with Miami, the Jazz — as well as the Bulls, Hornets and Nets — are considered a team interested in landing Tyler Herro from the Heat, sources said," Fischer wrote.
"And there are plenty of executives who'd rather take Miami's best package, if the Heat are so willing, that could include Herro and Nikola Jović to go with Jaquez, Caleb Martin and more."

Young talent
Herro could be a player that the Bulls have their eye on. The 23-year-old has already shown his scoring chops in the NBA, averaging over 20 points per game in each of the last two seasons. He is a fantastic rebounder, sound facilitator, and accurate free-throw shooter and could be the piece the Bulls need to signal a long-needed rebuild for the organization.

Chicago Bulls fan ever since “the shrug.” Meeting Jud Buechler at the Berto Center before the Last Dance season is one of my GOAT NBA moments, followed by watching two games at the United Center during that campaign. Virginia Military Institute graduate and a recovering sneakerhead.
