What used to be a rivalry that always took place in the same arena, the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Los Angeles Clippers in their return to crypto.com Arena for the first time since moving to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. A star-studded matchup, it will surely draw the eyes of the NBA world on Friday night.

After a poor loss to the Charlotte Hornets, the Lakers are now on a four-game winning streak, coming off a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. As for the Clippers, they're coming off a close win against the Chicago Bulls that ended their three-game slide.

On the injury side of the news, it appears the Lakers were nearly in jeopardy of missing one of their superstars, but received some good news before tip off.

Lakers guard Luka Doncic is listed as available on Friday's injury report against the Clippers. After a rocky start in his first three games with the Lakers, he's since turned it around, averaging 24.0 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 8.0 assists in his last three games.

Doncic joined the Lakers via one of the biggest trades in NBA history, which saw the Dallas Mavericks send him off for a package centered around Anthony Davis. Given that Davis has been sidelined with injury since his first game with the Mavericks, the Lakers look like early clear winners.

Tip-off is set for 10:00 p.m. EST in Los Angeles and will be broadcasted on ESPN.
