Grizzlies Star Makes Appearance at Bryce James' Game in Memphis
Session 4 of Nike's EYBL took place in Memphis this weekend, and Grizzlies star Desmond Bane was in attendance. It was an exciting weekend in Memphis, especially with Bryce James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, going viral for his performance in the EYBL session.
A picture of Bane at the NYBL session was posted on Twitter, as the Grizzlies star could be seen pulling up to the gym to watch the exciting collection of young talent. It's always great to see NBA players get involved in local youth basketball settings, and it had to be exciting for these young hoopers to perform in front of one of the NBA's rising stars.
The Grizzlies have been present in the community a lot already this offseason, including Bane himself, who hosts a basketball camp in his hometown, and makes regular appearances at community events in Memphis.
Bane recently underwent successful surgery to address a fracture in his right big toe, and is expected to make a full recovery ahead of next season. The team will certainly need him to begin the year, as his backcourt partner Ja Morant is expected to face a lengthy suspension to open the 2023-24 season.
As Bane recovers from his toe surgery, the Grizzlies star is spending his summer getting involved in youth basketball - whether that be attending the latest EYBL session, or hosting a youth camp of his own.
