Former NBA Star Sends Strong Message to Joel Embiid

In this story:
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid recently returned from an extended injury absence. The frontrunner for MVP before getting injured, Embiid is hoping he can return to form and help the 76ers make a postseason run.
In a recent episode of Gil's Arena, former NBA star and Memphis Grizzlies guard Gilbert Arenas shared a strong message for Embiid, saying the following:
"No matter what's wrong with your knee, we don't care. If you're not averaging 36 and 20, we don't give a f--k about your knee... We're not giving you the benefit of the doubt. We don't care. No one cares. Do not go out there and play injured to prove to us you're injured. Either you are healthy and going full, or sit your ass down. That 50% sh-t only works for your coach. The fans, the media, the other team does not give two sh-ts about the excuse. So what is your upside? ... If it ain't the championship, then why are you jeopardizing being injured, tweaking something, so you f--k your summer up. That would be the dumbest thing you could do."

Arenas believes that if Embiid is not 100% healthy, then he should not be playing. As Arenas sees it, Embiid will not be granted an excuse if the 76ers are early exits in the postseason. For Embiid and the 76ers, they of course hope to make a deep playoff push.
